    Common Toronto Realtor Misconceptions

Realtors only care about making a sale.

One common misconception is that realtors only care about closing a deal and earning a commission. While this may be true for some, most realtors are interested in building long-term relationships with their clients and helping them find the right property for their needs. Working this way leads to much happier clients, like mine. Just ask me how many clients that I’ve told “this isn’t the home for you”.

    Realtors are all the same.

Another misconception is that all realtors are the same and offer the same level of service. In reality, real estate agents have different levels of experience, areas of specialization, and levels of professionalism. It’s important to do your research and choose a realtor who is a good fit for your needs.

Using a buyer’s agent costs money.

Our job is to educate and protect you as our clients. There are most commonly two Realtors in every transaction; one who represents the seller, and the other, representing you. You should absolutely have a Realtor on your side for so many reasons, some are outlined here. Most importantly we help protect you and ensure you are not being taken advantage of. By choosing ONE Realtor to work with, you build a relationship with that person which will help them to understand you and they will be able to help you more than by booking appointments with multiple buyer agents.
